Professional Surveillance When Reliable Information Matters
Factual observations, professional documentation and confidential communication
Surveillance may help document where a person travels, locations visited, observable contacts, activities and whether observed conduct is consistent with a reported routine. It may be used in personal, family, legal, insurance and business investigations when observable information is needed.
Exclusive Investigations Inc. conducts discreet field surveillance based on a clearly defined objective. Before an assignment begins, we review the available information, expected locations, schedule, vehicle details and the type of activity the client needs documented.
Our investigators report what they actually observe. We do not make assumptions, exaggerate findings or promise that a particular event will occur. Our objective is to gather relevant information lawfully and provide clear documentation that allows the client or their attorney to evaluate the information.
Surveillance Methods We Use
The investigative approach depends on the starting location, expected movement, surrounding environment and the client's objective.
Stationary Surveillance
Observation from a lawful position near a residence, workplace, business, hotel, meeting location or other known starting point.
Mobile Surveillance
Discreet vehicle or pedestrian surveillance used to document travel, stops, destinations and relevant contacts when legally and practically appropriate.
Multi-Investigator Coverage
Additional investigators may be recommended when a property has multiple exits, heavy traffic, parking structures, rideshare zones or other conditions that make one-person coverage difficult.
Surveillance Documentation You May Receive
The documentation available depends on the assignment, activity observed, viewing conditions and the client's needs.
- Time-stamped surveillance updates
- Photographs of relevant activity
- Video documentation when conditions permit
- Descriptions of vehicles and locations
- Chronological activity timelines
- Investigator observations and case notes
- Written reports when requested or appropriate
Clear Reporting Without Assumptions
Investigators document observable facts such as arrivals, departures, destinations, contacts and activities. Reports describe what occurred without speculation or unsupported conclusions.
Photography and video quality can be affected by distance, lighting, traffic, obstructions, property restrictions and the subject's movements. Investigators must balance documentation with the need to remain discreet and avoid compromising the assignment.
How We Plan a Surveillance Assignment
1
Define the Objective
We identify the specific question, activity or pattern the client needs documented.
2
Review Case Information
We review photographs, vehicles, locations, schedules and known patterns before deployment.
3
Select the Strategy
We recommend a surveillance window, investigator coverage and approach suited to the location and investigative objective.
4
Report the Results
Clients receive available updates, documentation and a summary of relevant observations.
Information Needed to Begin Surveillance
Accurate starting information helps investigators identify the correct subject and prepare for expected conditions. Helpful information may include:
- A recent face and full-body photograph
- Height, weight and physical description
- Vehicle make, model, color and license plate
- Home, workplace, hotel or starting location
- Known schedule or expected departure time
- Relevant dates and established patterns
- Possible destinations or known associates
- The specific activity you need documented
Choosing the Right Surveillance Window
Surveillance is generally planned for periods when relevant activity is reasonably expected to occur. Information about work hours, appointments, travel, regular stops, weekends or changes in routine may help identify an appropriate surveillance window.
An investigator cannot guarantee that a subject will leave, meet someone or engage in a particular activity. We provide realistic recommendations based on the information available and adjust the strategy when circumstances change.
Why Local Knowledge Can Matter in Las Vegas Surveillance
Las Vegas creates surveillance conditions that can differ from those found in many other cities. A subject may leave a residential community, enter freeway traffic, park at a large resort and move through a casino, restaurant, convention area or entertainment venue within a short period.
Residential surveillance presents a different set of challenges. Gated communities, limited curbside parking, cul-de-sacs, security patrols and quiet streets can make an unfamiliar vehicle noticeable. Investigators must choose positions carefully and adapt when a location does not provide a safe or discreet view.
Local knowledge can assist with route planning, traffic conditions, parking access, resort entrances, valet areas, rideshare zones and transitions between vehicle and pedestrian surveillance.

Las Vegas Surveillance Investigation FAQs
Answers to common questions about hiring a licensed surveillance investigator in Las Vegas.
How much does surveillance cost in Las Vegas?
Surveillance costs depend on the number of investigators, planned hours, starting location, mileage, parking and other assignment-related expenses. Complex locations with multiple exits or heavy pedestrian activity may require additional investigator coverage. We review the proposed strategy and estimated costs before surveillance begins.
What is the difference between stationary and mobile surveillance?
Stationary surveillance involves observing a known location from a lawful position. Mobile surveillance begins when the subject departs and an investigator attempts to maintain discreet visual contact while documenting destinations and relevant activities.
Can you guarantee that the investigator will not be noticed?
No investigator can guarantee that surveillance will never be detected. Investigators use discreet methods and evaluate positioning, traffic, distance and the subject’s movements to reduce the likelihood of detection.
Will I receive photographs and video?
When relevant activity can be documented lawfully and safely, clients may receive photographs and video footage. Documentation depends on lighting, distance, obstructions, traffic, property restrictions and the need to protect the investigator’s position.
Can surveillance be conducted at a residence or workplace?
Yes, provided the investigator can observe from a lawful position. Gated communities, private property restrictions, limited parking and quiet neighborhoods may affect available coverage and the recommended strategy.
Can you follow someone into a casino or hotel?
When legally permitted and practically feasible, surveillance may include publicly accessible areas of hotels, resorts or other commercial properties. Property policies, security procedures and access restrictions may affect available coverage. Visit our dedicated casino and hotel surveillance page for additional information about these assignments.
How many investigators will my case require?
Some assignments can be handled by one investigator. Others may require two or more investigators because of multiple exits, heavy traffic, crowded properties or the need to maintain vehicle and pedestrian coverage. We explain our recommendation before the assignment begins.
Can you use a GPS tracker during surveillance?
GPS or other tracking technology is used only when legally permitted and when applicable ownership, authorization or consent requirements have been satisfied. We do not install or use tracking devices when the legal requirements for their use have not been established.
Can surveillance be used in court?
Surveillance documentation may be considered as part of a legal matter, depending on the circumstances. Questions concerning admissibility, relevance and legal strategy should be directed to qualified legal counsel. Written reports and supporting documentation may be available when appropriate.
